Across many communities, girls and young women continue to face barriers that threaten their health, safety, and full participation in society. The refresher training equipped participants with Comprehensive knowledge on their rights including bodily autonomy, protection from violence, and access to SRHR information and services.

Othe critical life skills such as communication, decisionmaking, negotiation, and leadership were also passed on unto them including knowledge building that now enables girls to understand their bodies, make informed choices, and to challenge harmful norms in their communities.

Together with our partners, we are building a strong network of young women leaders who can challenge gender inequalities, amplify community awareness on SRHR, and support the next generation of feminist changemakers.

The training was made possible through the kind support and funding from SIDA through the Embassy of Sweden in Monrovia, under our Just and Equal community Project which reinforcing a shared commitment to gender justice, youth empowerment, and the protection of girls’ rights across Liberia.

The JEC project believes that when girls have knowledge, skills, and supportive spaces, they can transform their own lives and create ripple effects of change in their communities. This refresher training is another powerful step toward that vision.
